Dan DeChesaro focuses his practice on business transactions for clients across a diverse array of industries. He has extensive experience representing clients in private practice and has served as General Counsel of a public company after assisting it acquire an iconic American company and brand.
Dan represents local and regional businesses in a myriad of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, corporate structuring, financing and other transactions. He supports clients through all phases of the business life cycle, from entity selection and formation, capital or debt raises through succession planning, sale and/or dissolution and the governance and commercial transactional needs in between.
Dan leverages his prior experience as General Counsel to provide business-savvy, practical advice to his business clients, understanding the delicate balance and competing interests of strategic decisions. As General Counsel, Dan was primarily responsible for implementing corporate governance processes and overseeing the legal matters involved as the company expanded its core business pursuits, including key technology-based operations and branding opportunities. He also assisted the company in listing its stock for trading on the American Stock Exchange and navigated an SEC investigation.
